Local Update - August 7, 2007

Big Barnwell Announcement
Folks in South Carolina can look forward to a big job announcement this morning.
Governor Mark Sanford will join state and local leaders to talk about some significant economic development coming to Barnwell.
This announcement will take place at 11 at the First Baptist Church Youth Center in Barnwell.
News 12 has learned an internationally recognized company is bringing 300 jobs and millions of dollars to the area.

Congressional Breakfast
Representatives from the 10th and 12th Districts of Georgia will be in Augusta for a congressional breakfast this morning.
Congressmen John Barrow and Paul Broun will be there to answer questions..
The Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce is hosting the breakfast.

Suspect on Run
A killer is on the run this morning, and Waynesboro police are hoping you can help find him.
They're looking for the man who gunned down 16 year-old Damian Wright Sunday night on Westgate Drive.
Witnesses are identifying the shooter as a man in his thirties who goes by the nickname Miami or Miami-E.

Allendale Murder Update
Police in Allendale didn't have to look too far to find a murder suspect.
24 year-old Marcus Breeland was already in jail.
He is now a suspect in the murder of Laurice Garvin.
Garvin was shot and killed in front of a neighbor's home on July 22nd.
Breeland is behind bars on an unrelated shooting charge.

Traffic Heads-Up
One lane will close on Interstate 520 from 9:00 pm to 6:00 am.
The lane will close west of Wheeler Road and end at Scott Nixon Memorial Drive.
A temporary barrier wall will shift traffic.
You might want to avoid the area if you can.
