Richmond County school bus drivers plan sit-in

August 6, 2007

AUGUSTA, Ga.---School bus drivers in Richmond County might not be on the job for the first day. Their union wants new superintendent Dr. Dana Bedden to investigate complaints against the school transportation department.

Union president Sallie Thomas says they could stage a sit-in as early as August 13.

The complaints include discrimination, harassment, route assignments, and what they say is poor treatment by supervisors.
