RICHMOND COUNTY -- Richmond County investigators say a man is behind bars for shooting at his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend.

Deputies arrested Charles Warney Sunday.

The shooting happened on March 2nd at the Cedarwood apartment complex on Richmond Hill Road.

Investigators say Warney knocked out the door to his girlfriend's apartment complex.

The woman and her new boyfriend grabbed her children and ran to her mother's apartment.

Warney followed and opened fire. When they got to the mother's apartment Warney allegedly pistol whipped his ex-girlfriend.

He's facing several charges.
