Election Today

The polls are open for the 10th District Congressional Runoff Election. You can cast your ballot until 7:00 tonight for either Jim Whitehead or Paul Broun.

Both are Republicans looking to fill the late Congressman Charlie Norwood's seat in Washington.

In last month's election, Whitehead walked away with about 44 percent of the vote. Broun got a little more than 20 percent.

Command Change at Fort Gordon

Today is a big day at Fort Gordon. Brigadier General Randy Strong will turn over command to Brigadier General Jeffrey Foley.

It happens at 8:00 this morning at Barton Field.

Arrests in Pastor's Murder

This morning, the two people believed to be responsible for the murder of Reverend Philip McCreary are behind bars. He was was shot last week while he was out fishing.

31 year-old William Allen Owens of Williston and 32 year-old Hariet Renee McKiney of Pittsville, Maryland are charged with murder.

Suspects Sought After Unloading 21 Rounds into Home

A teenager is recovering after two men unload 21 rounds into the side of a mobile home. It happened early Monday morning on the 500 block of Bradly Drive in North Augusta.

A bullet hit the 14 year-old and broke his leg.

The sheriff's office is still looking for suspects.

Blood Drive Today

You can donate blood today at the first annual Donate for Life Blood Drive at Centennial Park. The blood drive takes place from 10 am to 8 pm.

All donors will be treated to a Chick-Fil-A meal, a coupon for a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich, a free one day pass to Gold's Gym, a free t-shirt, and the chance to win prizes.
