NORTH AUGUSTA, SC--A fourteen year old boy is recovering after gunfire hit him in the leg while he was sleeping. It happened around 3:15 this morning on the 500 block of Bradly Drive in North Augusta.

The Aiken county sheriff's office says two men fired almost two dozen rounds at the mobile home, and some of them made their way back to the boy's bedroom.

Michael Wilson was fast asleep in his bed. But his father was wide awake when he heard an SUV and two cars pulling up to his mobile home. Then, he sees two men getting out.

"He said 'is this the house?' And all the sudden, all the rounds going off." Said Tommy Bowers.

As the rounds were going off, Michael Wilson's sister, Lateasha, hit the floor. Then, heard her brother screaming.

"My first instinct was to jump up and go in the room. But i was like 'if i get up, I'm gonna get hit.'" She said.

She was worried about getting hit by the 21 rounds flying through her home.
They hit the couch, the Foosball table, the floor, and the wall leading to Michael's bedroom. One of the shots went through the window just above his bed, another hit him in the leg..

Lateasha says as soon as the gunfire stopped, she came running: "He said the pain is so bad, I can't even cry.

Then, Michael's father called 911. The paramedics took him to the Medical College of Georgia, ...And investigators started looking for the men who shot Michael Wilson in his own bed, in the middle of the night.

Michael's family says he has a broken leg and he needs surgery. The sheriff's office is still looking for suspects.
