Election Tomorrow

Tomorrow, voters will decide who will represent Georgia's 10th Congressional District.

Jim Whitehead and Paul Broun are on the ballot for Tuesday's election.

Both hope to fill the late Congressman Charlie Norwood's seat.

You can vote in the runoff, even if you missed the original election in June.

Murder Suspect Sought

Investigators need your help finding a murder suspect.

They say 23 year-old Donald Hugh Gamble, Jr. shot 29 year-old Quamaine Eugene Rickman in the 200 block of Walker Street.

Investigators say drugs may have been behind the murder.

Rickman is the 17th murder victim in Richmond County so far this year.

Deadly Fire

This morning, a South Augusta man is dead after a house fire.

News 12 has learned 36-year-old Willie Tumblin died from heavy smoke and soot inhalation.

It's been ruled accidental, but his family believes otherwise.

Tumblin's cousin says a day after the fire, two different people told her they heard a man threatening her cousin Friday afternoon, telling him they would burn his house down if he didn't pay the money he owed.

Richmond County fire investigators say at the time of the fire, no one came forward with that information.

They say they are looking into it.

McNair Surrenders

The man accused of killing Stedmund Fryer turned himself in to authorities Saturday.

The sheriff's office tells us Darion McNair arrived at the Law Enforcement Center Saturday morning and surrendered. He is being charged with Fryer's murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Officers are still looking for Jordash Tanksley, who's wanted for questioning.

Meloan Update

Investigators are hoping to get more answers this morning in the molestation case involving former North Augusta City Planner and TV personality Ed Meloan.

The 74 year-old is accused of molesting a young boy 30 years ago.

Since Meloan's arrest, SLED has asked other possible victims to come forward.

News 12 has learned, a number of people have done just that.

Meth Bust

A Beech Island man is in trouble this morning, charged with making methamphetamine.

Aiken County investigators arrested 42 year old James McRae. This is Aiken County's 3rd meth bust this year.
