AUGUSTA, Ga.---It took commissioners eight rounds of voting, but they finally agreed to a property tax increase for next year.

City administrator Fred Russell wanted about $12 more on a $100,000 home. Some commissioners said that was too much, but they agreed on Russell's plan in the end.

There will be public hearings and another vote before anything is final.
