FORT GORDON, Ga --- Fort Gordon is scheduled to host a three day event designed to raise awareness about the consequences of drinking and driving and drug use. The expo will be held in Gym 3 on post, and you are invited.
The event will feature presentations from several military branches and local law enforcement departments. DUI task force members from Richmond and Columbia counties are scheduled to attend. The event will feature a high-tech DUI simulator. The simulator, officials say, boasts a full size car, and visual affects of driving under the influence. The program has been featured on Oprah and tours the nation.
Officials say as many as 2,000 people are expected to visit the expo over the coming days.
