Celebrate July 4th on the 3rd
If you want to get a head start on your 4th of July celebrations, we know where you can go.
The Little River Marina and Family Resort is hosting the Liberty on the Lake Freedom Fireworks Spectacular.
It starts at 3:00 and ends at 10:00 tonight.
That's located at 4271 Old Lincolnton Road in Appling.
Fort Gordon will host its Independence Day celebration on Barton Field today.
That starts at 5pm and ends at 10:30.
Fireworks will start at 9:45.

Golf and Garden Update
Just when you thought the Golf and Gardens were done, News 12 has learned they may reopen a limited basis.
It closed to the public Saturday, but Board Chairman Bryan Persons says he is considering reopening the putting course Friday through Sundays.

Animal Abuse
Too many animals and not enough care could land a Grovetown woman in jail.
Linda Stone faces 12 counts of animal neglect for leaving her dogs inside an abandoned mobile home in Harlem.
Animal Control found 12 dogs without water and food inside the trailer on Otis way.
Authorities say the floors were covered in 6 inches of feces, and the temperature inside was 96 degrees.
Animal Control had to euthanize the dogs.
Stone could face up to 12 thousand dollars in fines or 6 months in jail if found guilty.

Teen Club Could Close after Violence
A deadly shooting at a popular teen club in Augusta could force it to close down.
It's called Club Platinum, but many know it by its former name Club Tinted Windows.
In the last month, there's been an aggravated assault there and now, a murder.
24 year old Nicolas Carpenter was standing in the club's parking lot when he was shot once in the stomach.
16 year old Denzel Ward is charged with the murder.

Purse Snatcher Arrest
A woman's purse lands an Aiken man behind bars.
Police say James Dillard stole Teresa Kingrey's purse on Friday.
In her struggle to keep it, Kingrey was cut.
Dillard was arrested at the BP on Richland Avenue and University Parkway.

Drug Suspects out on Bond
2 Graniteville men are out on bond this morning after police arrest them for drug charges.
Ronald Jackson was arrested and charged with having marijuana.
James Ross is charged with trafficking cocaine, having marijuana, having hash, and intent to distribute cocaine within one-half mile of a school.
Ross is out on a $30,000 bond.
Jackson is out on $5,000 bond.
