On Your Side: Call For Action Training

AUGUSTA, Ga.--You've been hearing about it for months and today, the long-awaited Call For Action team finally got started on training.

That's good news for you because this will be another tool you can use to help solve your consumer problems.

The volunteers will be working in a new office and they'll be fielding all sorts of calls to help you with your problems.

It's been a work in progress to get this operation off the ground, but after a lot of hard work and a lot of folks donating their time, it's almost here.

Nearly 20 folks showed up for the first training session today and they were all in good spirits about this new adventure.

They got a little background on how to break through the red tape and get you answers so your problems can be solved.

These folks will be part of a national network that's only purpose is to help consumers and they'll be part of the Augusta branch.

One of the volunteers says getting involved is just the right thing for her to do.

"Because I always enjoy helping people. I always like to give back to the community." said volunteer Erica Doyle.

This was the first step in this operation, the volunteers will soon be back to continue training.

After that is done, they will be fielding your calls several days a week and working to find solutions.
