Run-Off Election Set for July
Get ready to vote again.
As expected, there will be a run-off fromTtuesday's special election.
Republican Jim Whitehead is the frontrunner.
Tuesday night, he recieved the highest return in votes with 44%.
Paul Broun trailed him with 21%.
The run-off for the special election will happen July 17th.

Jackson Wins State Senate 24th Seat
There is no run-off for the seat Whitehead left empty to run for congress.
The final numbers are in, and this morning, that seat
belongs to Republican Bill Jackson.
He won majority of the vote with 63%.
Scott Nichols came in with 16%, Lee Benedict with 4%,
and Brett McGuire with 17 percent of the vote.

SC Treasurer Facing Drug Charges
South Carolina State Treasurer Thomas Ravenel is facing drug charges.
Governor Mark Sanford suspended Ravenel Tuesday after he was indicted on federal cocaine charges.
If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

Carjacking Suspects Sought
North Augusta Public Safety Officers are looking for suspects from two different carjackings.
The first happened around 9:00 Tuesday night in the parking lot at Plaza Place in North Augusta off Martintown Road.
An hour later, another carjacking happened at the Rapids Subdivision off Martintown Road.
