AUGUSTA---A big fight at Augusta's T.W. Josey High School today ended with police taking 16 students out of school. The fight started around 9:30 this morning, and we understand it stemmed from something that happened outside of school.
When it was over, 11 adult students were taken to the Law Enforcement Center on a school bus. All of them were arrested, most for disorderly conduct and one on marijuana charges.
Five others, who are juveniles, will be dealt with in juvenile court. They're facing not only criminal charges, but will have school discipline tribunals as well.
School board police are going through surveillance tapes to see if they have everybody who was involved. We'll be following that as it unfolds.
