Update: Stabbing in Aiken city
Marcus Smith was wanted for stabbing the mother of his two children in the stomach and upper arm around 2:40 this morning. Police tell News 12 it happened on the 300 Block of Lancaster Street in downtown Aiken.

AIKEN, S.C.---A stabbing suspect was arrested today after an early morning search.
25-year old Marcus Smith was wanted for stabbing 34-year old Tara Cannon. She is the mother of his two children. Investigators say Cannon was charged in the stomach and upper arm around 2:40 this morning. Police tell News 12 it happened on the 300 Block of Lancaster Street in downtown Aiken. They also say the two had an "on again, off again" relationship.
Officers searched the area with guns drawn looking for Smith. Aiken Public Safety officers say he turned himself in around 4 this morning.
The victim was taken to the hospital. There is no word yet on her condition.
