AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- This year's Paddlefest has been postponed due to unsafe river conditions, according to the Savannah Riverkeeper.

The Corps of Engineers is forecasting that river levels will stay elevated for the next few weeks, which will keep boat landings closed.

The canoe and kayak, stand-up paddleboard and homemade raft competition will be held at a later date, which is expected to be announced in two weeks.

Stay tuned to the Savannah Riverkeeper's website for updates.
