The 12 On Your Side Blog is going to give us a chance to provide solutions to a few of the problems we get calls on, that we don't have enough time on air to get to.

The goal is to continue to help you with your consumer issues.

Today, we're inviting you to take your first look at it.

This week's entry is about buying a used car, which is the subject of the majority of calls we get each week.

There are some tips and tricks to make sure you get a quality vehicle at a good price that won't break down on you after you leave the car lot.

We will be adding a new post at least once a week so check back often.

This is just another example of the underhanded dishonest sales tatics used by car salesmen and dealerships. I priced and attemped to buy a car from Acura of Richmond. The car price shown was $10,420. When I sat down to buy it the dealer tacked on $479.00 additional called dealer fees. Thi swas in addition to title, taxes and registration. It a shame that they ( the car industry can't seem to stop playing such scams on consumers. When I objected I was told we charge this to everyone, this helps offset our payroll and expenses. I always thought that was included in the sales price. I hope someone can make them sweat and at least disclose this on the price sign on the car. That way there are no surprises at the closing desk which needless to say I walked out.

my aunt has been missing since 2002. her name is phyllis rogers. from king william county. she is an older lady. I am wondering why is it that white people get coverage and blacks dont? I am not into black thing white thing I feel that everyone needs the same benefits as other. A black man do something bad they get humiliation back to back and the media dont give it up. But when a white person do something bad it will last maybe a day ot 2.another example a vcu student missing you here about it every day. But my aunt has been missing and she only recieved a day. She deserves more than that. And I hope they find they find the young man and my aunt. They really need to come home

I purchased a LAND ROVER from Priority in Chester, Va in April. At that time they couldn't find the extra key, remote or owners manuel, so they told me they would have it if I'd come back in a week or two. So I went back approximately 45 miles one way. When I got there, there was no key.remote or manuel. BUT-- they said we'll call you within a wk or two to let you know when you can come by and pick up your spare key, remote and manuel. No call came so I went back, still no key, remote or manuel, so I went back still no key, etc. they said call again, so I called twice both times being put on hold forever. until I had to just hang up with an unanswered call. I still have no extra key or other necessities. I am tired of being promised these things and not getting anything. WHy do dealers make you think they are so reliable when in all honesty they never intend on following through? There are things about this LAND ROVER that I still do not understand and never will without the manuel.

I recently had over five hundred dolars in Labcorp bills to pay, I am a healthy adult, I told my doctor I didnt have ins. I wonder what amt of this was kicked back to the doctor for useless lab work, I suspect it is a common fraud, physicians today don't care about their patients, this lab work could have been done at my local hospital for half the price, we have a fine lab aat our local hospital...so my question is..why is my local doctor sending my lab work to "labcorp" at three times the cost, when my local hospital can do it cheaper and more accurately...unless labcorps has a kickback scheme,,,????
