Another email scam is making the rounds. This one supposedly from a Sergeant serving in Iraq who wants to give you millions of dollars.

There's one common goal of these email scams, they're trying to get you to hand over your personal information.

Unfortunately, they're not going away any time soon.

Mike Kozemchak is a veteran of many years in the U.S. military. That's why he was pretty blown away by the latest email scam he got.

"It's a shame someone would do something like that." he said.

The email was supposedly from a Sergeant serving in Iraq who had stumbled upon several million dollars, but he needs your help to get it out of the country.

That's something Mike said sounded fishy.

"Somebody is trying to hide a million dollars and they want you to help them do it. And if you help them, then you're gonna give them your information and they're gonna take whatever you have." he said.

The email is just another version of the well-known Nigerian Email Scams that prey upon people's greed to steal their identity.

The emails have been around for years. You might say it's amazing they continue. The reality is they are around because they are still working for the scammers.

And that means when you're online, you always have to be on guard.

Mike says there is one well-known phrase you should always use in situations like this.

"If it sounds too good to be true, it's not true." he said.

If you get an unsolicited email from someone offering to pay you millions of dollars to help them, do yourself a favor and just delete it.

It will save you a lot of trouble.
