SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) -- A Sandy Springs police officer says he was fired for posting information about his job on Facebook.
O.J. Concepcion of Morrow told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he was terminated Dec. 2 after being placed on administrative leave for two weeks. The 33-year-old said he doesn't believe he did anything wrong by posting on the popular social networking site about his police work.
He wrote about different aspects of his job, including that he was working with the Federal Bureau of Investigation on a drug case. Concepcion's attorney, Mike Puglise, said the police department doesn't have a policy about Facebook or other social media.
Police spokesman Lt. Steve Rose declined comment because it is a personnel issue.
