Augusta commissioners approve Trade, Exhibit and Events Center
Augusta commissioners have approved a plan to build a Trade, Exhibit and Event Center in downtown Augusta.

AUGUSTA -- Augusta commissioners have approved a plan to build a Trade, Exhibit and Event Center in downtown Augusta.
Commissioners passed the plan during a special-called meeting this morning. The vote was 7-1-1 with Mayor Pro Tem Alvin Mason voting "No" and Commissioner Betty Beard abstaining.
In passing the T.E.E. Center, commissioners also approved a redevelopment plan for neighborhoods along Laney Walker Boulevard.
