AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Veterans of Foreign Wars hosted a "Soldiers Christmas" for those families who are stationed here in Augusta.
The event was held to give thanks to all that the soldiers do for the country and for the sacrifices the families make in order to be stationed, said Ron Maher of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
More than 75 families showed up to the event to enjoy dinner with friends and family.
People were dancing on the dance floor and the children left with early Christmas gifts as well.
