AUGUSTA, Ga---Augusta commissioner Calvin Holland won't get an apology from his commission colleagues after his role in the hard drive controversy.

During Tuesday's meeting, commissioner Marion Williams asked the board to issue a vote of apology and take back the decision to censure Holland for requesting a copy of the city administrator's hard drive last month. Williams says a legal opinion showed Holland did nothing illegal.

"We ought to be good stewarts and realize when we are wrong and we ought to have enough sense to say i'm sorry, and i think we owe him that much," Williams said.

In the end, the commission voted to uphold their decision and did not issue the apology.

Williams says he will put the item back on the agenda until Holland gets a formal apology.
