Serial Robber Strikes Again
A serial robber strikes again, and this morning, investigators are looking for him. Thursday, he hit the Regions Bank on Augusta West Parkway. He demanded money but the teller refused to give it to him. F.B.I agents say they are sure this is the same guy who held up eight convenience stores across the area.

Waffle House Robbery Suspect Behind Bars
This morning, a North Augusta man is behind bars after leading police on a six hour chase. Twenty-nine-year-old William Busbee is accused of robbing the Waffle House in Thomson at gunpoint. Police chased him into Green County, where he crashed his truck and fled into nearby woods on foot. They finally caught up with him around 1:30.

Augusta Man Guilty of Murder
This morning, an Augusta man is guilty of murder. Thursday, a jury convicted Thomas Antonio Brown of killing 17 year-old Bonjoshwa Albright last July. That shooting happened on Watkins Street.

School's Out
Today is the last day of school for Richmond County, McDuffie County and McCormick County. Edgefield County's last day was Thursday. Columbia County students got out of school last week. Aiken County Schools will finish up next week.

Memorial Day Closings
Monday, county offices will be closed in Richmond, Columbia, Aiken, McDuffie, and Edgefield counties. Augusta Public Transit will not run, and libraries, banks and all area post offices will be closed. However, the Richmond County Landfill will be open.
