Report Expected Tomorrow in Rep. Harbin DUI Case
An official report will released tomorrow in the arrest of a state lawmaker arrested for DUI. Atlanta police arrested Georgia Representative Ben Harbin Sunday morning after he crashed his car into a lightpole. Harbin represents the Evans area and is Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee. His voting record shows he has a history of cracking down on drinking and driving.

Changes in Augusta Election Cycle
Augusta's election cycle for commissioners is about to change. Governor Sonny Perdue signed a bill saying the people who are elected this year and in 2009 will serve three year terms. Districts 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 are up for a vote in November of 2007, and Districts 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9 are up for a vote in November of 2010. This also affects the City Marshal's election in 2009.

Missing Sex Offender
Columbia County investigators are looking for a missing sex offender this morning. Albert Joseph Wheeler Jr. was last known to live at 910 Manatee Circle in Harlem. Right now, there is a warrant out for his arrest.

Internet Safety Program
Today the Aiken County Sheriff's Office will present an internet safety program to warn kids of the dangers lurking online. Sgt. Steve Deibel will meet with third through fifth graders at East Aiken Elementary today at 1:30 p.m. The presentation will focus on Internet safety, the hazards of chatting online, and instant messaging.
