Harbin arrested for DUI Save Email Print

ATLANTA, Ga.---State Rep. Ben Harbin was arrested and charged with DUI after his car hit a utility pole in downtown Atlanta early Sunday (May 20).

Harbin is the chair of the House Appropriations Committee and represents Columbia County.

Harbin was alone in the car. He was treated at Grady Hospital after the wreck.

The Republican has served in the Georgia House since 1995.

I thought that they take your license when you are arrested for DUI. How can a State Rep keep his license until the next his election has past and he was voted by in office. Why has he not been tied before now. If he can get away with this then ever citizens should be able to do the samething. Keep their license until there court date is finish. What is the government coming too. There are different standard for people who uphold the law. Please let me know how he is doing what he is doing so I can follow in his foot step. when is Ben Harbin going to court to address his DUI? It has been over a year now and if it had been you or I we would have been found guilty and had to pay our consequences.

please give him the max!!!! if it were any other citizen they would throw us in and lock the gate... he should get the same punishment no matter how much money he makes!!!! thats why innocent people die from people like that who get away with things because of money!!!
