Williams says he has copy of Russell's hard drive

May 8, 2007

AUGUSTA, Ga.---Commissioner Marion Williams says he now has a copy of the city administrator's hard drive.

Some leaders are accusing Fred Russell of doing personal business on the city computer, but Commissioner Calvin Holland was reprimanded by the Commission when he asked for the hard drive.

Williams did not say how he got the copy, but says he does not plan to look at it until he talks to a lawyer.

Fred Russell told us he has nothing to hide but says Mr. Williams may be violating privacy laws.
