Waynesboro loses 300 jobs

WAYNESBORO, Ga.---More than 300 people will be out of a job next month in Waynesboro. The Cummins Filtration Plant is closing, and employees just found out last week.

The Waynesboro plant specialized in small engine and recreational vehicle products, and the company has decided not to make them anymore.

There is severance pay and a chance to move to another plant.

Cummins employs 250 people full time and has 80 temporary employees.

It will close sometime in June.
