AUGUSTA, Ga.---A 14-year-old Spirit Creek Middle School student is in some big trouble for having a gun at school.
Richmond County BOE officers were told the student had a gun, but once they approached him, he ran into nearby woods. When he came out of the woods, he did not have a gun on him.
Richmond County Sheriff's investigators later found the gun.
The student is being charged with having a gun on school property. He is suspended pending a hearing and has been turned over to his parents.
