Body found in lake that of missing fisherman

May 2, 2007

Investigators with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations say the body found at Clark's Hill Lake this weekend is that of missing fisherman Michael Wade Bowman.

Investigators say he took his own life and died of drowning.

Bowman went missing April 21. His truck was later found at the marina, and his boat in the water.

A fisherman found the body a week later.

I would like to know what Investigator made this comment because the family hasn't been told that he "took his own life".

My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. My Daughter goes to school with his Son and says he is a very nice young man. Mike was a gentleman, always held the door open for me at the store.Respected the aged. My heart goes out to you. I lost my Daughter two years ago, my Mother, Brother and Sister-in-law, 3 years ago. Also my husband to suicide 20 years ago, so trust me, I know your pain. You will be in my prayers.
