The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that eastbound traffic on I-20 will be paced on Thursday, April 19, and Friday, April 20, between the hours of 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Pacing will begin just after mile marker 190 (Grovetown exit). Law Enforcement vehicles will be placed at the on ramps of Exits 194, 196 and 198 to prevent traffic from entering I-20 eastbound.
Westbound traffic on I-20 will be paced on Monday, April 23, and Tuesday April 24, 2007 between the hours of 11:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Pacing will begin at South Carolina Exit 1. Law Enforcement vehicles will be placed at the on ramps of Georgia Exit 200 and 199 to prevent traffic from entering I-20 Westbound. These ramps will be reopened after the pacing vehicles pass.
Pacing will occur to safely install the beams for the Walton Way Extension overpass bridge.
As with all road construction, motorists are advised to use extra caution in construction work zones.
