Regarding speed limit change on Hwy 1 in Aiken county: This is a commercial 4 lane road with a posted speed limit of 45. The original limit of 55 was reasonable for this typpe of road. Hwy 421 is 2 blocks over. a 4 lane residential road with a speed limit of 40 this makes no sence when comparing the two roads as a means to the same destination. Hwy 1 should be left at 55mph as a quicker route of travel. I believe Burnettown is looking for yet another way to boost income.
