ORLANDO, Fla.---Police now say people were shot in an office building not far from Interstate 4 in downtown Orlando. One has died, and the five others are injured.
The suspected gunman, identified as Jason Rodriguez, surrendered to police at his mother's home. Officers saw him through a window and asked him to come outside. Reports say Rodriguez used to work in the office building where the shooting happened.
Gateway Center is a high-rise building not far from the intersection of I-4 and Colonial Drive. Traffic on part of the interstate was shut down in
both directions for awhile as police searched for the suspect in that area and paramedics removed the shooting victims.
