AUGUSTA --- Norman Cowart is a Vietnam veteran who deals with enough.
"I don't know, there's just a lot of traumatic experiences I've gone through. I've never been too stable, period," he admits.
That's why the Department of Veterans Affairs assigned him a fiduciary to handle his money and pay his bills. But there have been problems.
"Where's the money? My bills aren't being paid. That's my question: Where is it?"
Comcast has disconnected his service seven times in two years. Norman contacted our Call For Action office recently when he found out he owed Comcast $300 that he says his fiduciary wasn't paying.
"It's so frustrating. It's almost too much for me to handle."
But we put him in touch with VA advocate Dan Reeves, who helped ease his mind.
"Mr. Reeves was very gracious and very intense about his hopeful capabilities to help me."
And we were lucky to help him. Reeves pushed to get those bills paid and now the cable is back on.
