AUGUSTA, Ga.---Another of Augusta's historic mills is getting a serious facelift.

Sutherland Mill, right next to the Enterprise Mill on Greene Street near downtown Augusta, was sold last Monday (March 12) to a local developer.

Clay Boardman purchased the property in a joint venture with a Savannah company. They are renovating the mill, making the building eco-friendly. That means they'll use recaptured rain water for landscaping and use natural light wherever possible, among other things.

The St. Sebastian Way extension will pass directly in front of the building and connect Sutherland with the medical complex and Reynolds Street.
