Only on 12: Dawgs fan rolling through Georgia to Florida to raise money to walk again
After being in a car accident in 2006, Brad Williams has been bound to a wheelchair since, but is rolling across Georgia to the UGA vs. UF football game to raise money to get surgery so he can walk again. He started in Lavonia, Ga. three days ago and came through Louisville, Ga. on Sunday.

LOUISVILLE, Ga. -- Brad Williams is on pace to getting to Jacksonville, Fla. by late next week after rolling through Louisville, Ga. Sunday, all in his wheelchair.
Williams lost the ability to walk after almost dying in a car accident in Anderson, S.C. in 2006, and is now pushing himself 360 miles from Lavonia, Ga. to Jacksonville, Fla. to cheer for the Georgia Bulldogs in their football game against the number one ranked Florida Gators.
"God left me my two arms so I have to use them," Williams said. "My arms are shot."
The 32-year-old Georgia native is doing this to raise money to get adult stem cell work done that would take his bone marrow out of his hip and replace it in his spinal cord so he would be able to walk again, which cost $25,000 and must be done in Germany, he said.
"I got to thinking, well I would like to do something like that," he said. "But there's no way I would be able to raise that type of money."
Brad's father, Gary wasn't a fan of the idea when he first heard of it because it's so dangerous, but said that all changed once his son told him he had to walk again.
"He said 'Daddy this is all I can do to raise money.' He said 'I want to walk my little girl down the aisle."'
That motivation to make it all the way to Florida has caused people to donate $17,000 already bringing him that much closer to the $25,000 goal, he said.
He can't believe how many people have supported him through his journey or the amount of Georgia fans that have backed him and been cheering him on the whole way.
He has only made it about a third of the way, but is motivated to get down to Florida to watch his Georgia Bulldogs play.
His wife and high school sweetheart, Tabitha followed behind him in a car today and his father has followed him during the trip too.
The real help though, the family said is the Georgia State Patrol, who have paved the way for him to ride in the middle of the road and make it down to the game safe and sound, Brad said.
Other than hoping to walk again to see his little daughter walk down the aisle when she gets old enough, the 32-year-old Georgia native is hoping to see the Bulldogs win against the number one ranked team in the country.
"Well if I can wheel myself across Georgia," Brad said. "Then the Bulldogs can beat Florida."
The Bulldogs and Gators face each other in Jacksonville, Fla. on October 31st and he is on pace to make it there in time.
If you would like to donate to help him raise the money to get the surgery which will help him walk again, you can do so on-line at brad1977.wordpress.com.
