Beech Island man arrested after meth lab found
Aiken County investigators arrested 44 year old James Edward McRae of Beech Island Avenue in Beech Island, S.C.

BEECH ISLAND, S.C.---A Beech Island man is in jail, after narcotics investigators find a meth lab.

Aiken County investigators arrested 44 year old James Edward McRae of Beech Island Avenue in Beech Island, S.C. while serving a search warrant. During the search, they discovered materials consistent with the illegal manufacture of methamphetamine.

The items found were secured and disposed of through a government contracted clean up crew as required by Department of Health and Environmental Control regulations.

McRae is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center, charged with attempt to manufacture methamphetamine.
