AUGUSTA, Ga.---Surveillance video from the gas station where 21-year-old Corey Joseph was last seen alive was released to the media tonight. It's just one tool police are using to alert the public that someone very dangerous is still out there.

The surveillance video shows 21-year-old Corey Joseph inside a BP on Wednesday night (March 7).

"We believe that one or two of the suspects encountered him at this store," Sgt. Richard Roundtree told News 12.

Joseph's body was found slumped over the wheel of his car off North Kensington Drive ten minutes later.

Two suspects fled on foot.

"Most of the time, that's what they do: hide out. And he's probably right here in the area as we speak," said neighbor Mike Grant.

Investigators agree...so they've made flyers. They're passing them out and posting them up.

The idea is to make the public aware that there's a murder suspect on the loose and he could possibly still be in the area.

"I have kids," neighbor Helen King said. "I don't want nobody running around getting after my kids. I mean, that's awful."

By releasing the video and some specifics on the case, police are hoping someone steps forward.

They now know Joseph was alone at 7:47 pm, but by 8 o'clock he'd picked up two passengers.

He was found dead just two miles down the road.

"We have a very good time frame. We have a very short area to work with. So we know that the person responsible is somewhere between this geographical area," Sgt. Roundtree said.

Two suspects are still wanted.

Both are black males between 16 and 18 years old and between 5'3" and 5'8". One has braids in his hair; the other, a short afro.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 706-821-1020.

Your call can be anonymous.
