WARRENTON, Ga -- The Warren County Coroner says 19-year-old Curtis Evans Junior, from Thomson, was killed in a two car accident on I-20 Eastbound early this morning.

Coroner Paul Lowe says the accident happened just after 3 am near mile marker 157. He says Evans was a passenger in a pickup truck that was rear ended by another car. The collision caused the truck to lose control and flip. Evans and the driver were ejected out of the truck and Lowe says Evans died at the scene.

Lowe says the driver was transported to a local hospital. We do not know their condition or identity at this time.

We're also working to confirm if the driver that hit the truck is facing any charges.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating this accident.

Lowe originally identified the decedent as Curtis Bell Junior to News 12, he has since corrected himself to idenify the victim as Curtis Evans Junior.

The accident marks the fourth traffic death within a two mile stretch of I-20 Eastbound in one week. Last Saturday, authorities say Alan Dick was traveling on I-20 Westbound towards Atlanta with his wife Leah Tatum-Dick when Mr. Dick is believed to have suffered a medical complication and veered his Toyota Camry across the grass median and hit a pickup truck head on on I-20 EB. The Dicks died at the scene. The driver of the truck, Robert Rowell, of Martinez, died later at the hospital.
