AUGUSTA, Ga. --- In less than a week, 9 vehicles in the Breeze Hill subdivision have been burglarized. Now, neighbors are stepping up patrols day and night.
Perry Robinson, president of the neighborhood association, says larger trucks and sport utility vehicles were the main targets. He says windows were smashed and thousands of dollars worth of property was stolen.
Neighbors have since met to discuss the situation, and how they can organize a closer neighborhood watch. Patrols have been designed during day and nighttime hours, Robinson says.
The Richmond County Sheriff's Department is working with the neighborhood to keep them updated with crime reports and ways to stay safe. So far, no suspects have been named.
