ATLANTA, Ga.---Georgia lawmakers are back at work today.

Sonny Perdue was sworn in today for his second term as governor, and Casey Cagle was sworn in as the state's first-ever Republican lieutenant governor.

This is also a big day for our local lawmakers.

The first day of the legislative session is not about trying to pass any laws; rather, it's a chance for lawmakers to start politicking.

That's very important for Augusta's legislators, because most of them are here for the first time.
