Deputies bust meth lab in upscale Evans home

EVANS, Ga.---Riverwood Plantation is a fairly new subdivision in Evans near the Greenbrier schools, just off Washington Road and William Few Parkway. The homes in the neighborhood run up to a million dollars.

Neighbors were more than a little surprised when deputies rolled in and busted up a meth lab.

Most of the meth labs we see are in trailers or rundown homes. But this case proves that rich or poor, you never know what your neighbor may be hiding.

A home at 136 Pond View had been under investigation since October of 2006. Finally, last night at around 9:30, 37-year-old Jamie Brosious was arrested after a meth lab was found at the home.

43-year-old Scott Fernandez of Augusta and 29-year-old Cheree Granade of Grovetown were arrested for manufacturing meth after a lab was discovered in the back of their truck. The two were arrested as they were leaving Brosious' residence.

No bond has yet been set.

The sheriff's office says there were less than 10 meth lab busts in Columbia County in 2006.
