Strong Thunderstorm Moves Through Augusta

A lightning frenzy with a strong t-storm that moved through the Augusta and North Augusta area at around 8:30PM Sunday night. The storm itself didn't reach severe criteria, however becuase of the massive amounts of lightning, the National Weather Service issued a Special Weather Statement.
A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WAS AFFECTING AIKEN...BARNWELL AND RICHMOND
COUNTIES...
AT 832 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
STRONG THUNDERSTORM NEAR AUGUSTA...MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH.
WINDS 40 TO 50 MPH ARE EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM
That line was moving NW to SE and pushing through Aiken County as of 9PM. More scattered showers/storms expected through Monday afternoon.
