Fire damages Augusta home

AUGUSTA, Ga -- Augusta-Richmond County firefighters are battling a fire on the 2500 block of Pate Avenue in Augusta.
Our crew on the scene says Pate Avenue is closed down while six firetrucks work to extinguish the blaze at a home.
Right now, there is no word on any injuries, but the home at 2509 Pate Avenue does appear to be severely damaged.
Firefighters have not determined a cause at this time.
