MARTINEZ, Ga.--Some afternoon thunderstorms brought rain and heavy wind to the area.
In Martinez, we got a lot of phone calls of power lines being down.
Some homes in the area off of Old Evans and Vernon Street were without power.
One homeowner tells us what he saw.
"It's like it came out of nowhere man, it's just out of nowhere. It just snapped and then it was gone. As quick as it came as quick as it left," said Jim Stachowiak.
Parts of Hardens Street were roped off because of downed power lines.
Just to be clear it was a microburst that came through, not a tornado.
