A salmonella outbreak is affecting 18 states, including Georgia. Over 170 cases have been reported.
Experts at the Centers for Disease Control say the bacteria may have spread through some sort of produce, including lettuce and tomatoes.
There are 2500 strains of salmonella, so it takes time to track things down.
Most of the cases are in adult women.
The bacterium leads to stomach flu type illnesses.
