AUGUSTA Ga.--News 12 has learned a woman who was wounded in her foot last night is the next door neighbor of a Columbia County murder victim earlier this week.

This latest incident happened on Highland Avenue in Augusta.

She said a man jumped out of some bushes, tried to rob her, and shot her in the foot, grazing it.

Richmond County is handling this investigation.

Mrs. Sears lives at 227 Hot Springs Dr in the Orchard Hill area.

kay parsons will be missed by all who knew her!our prayers are with her son and husband ,she was devoted to them! we should all take a moment to let the people that God puts in our lives know how much we love them before it`s too late! I LOVED YOU KAY!!! and I value the times we spent together watching our sons play ball! I wish I had one more chance to do that so I could tell you!

i think its a cover up she was grazed in the foot her sons are involved and shes trying to throw the police off.what are the odds on this happening to neighbors.if her sons arent involved they are mixed up with some really sick people and she needs to tell the police who they are

something sounds a little bit fishy regarding these two stories. I've been living here for 13 years, and things like this don't happen randomly around this area. I hope the CC Sheriff's Dept. gets to the bottom of this tragedy

Seems really intelligent to give out the address of both victims....hope the robber doesn't see this and attempt to finish the job. I strongly suggest removing the addresses of both victims involved. Come on, you all know better!

I've heard talk that this is the neighbor of Kary Parsons, the woman who was killed after being beaten when she found someone burglarizing her home. If this is the case, it's too weird to be coincidence. We need to stop whoever is out to get these people!!

I THINK PATROL NEEDS TO BE INCREASED IN THE AREA OF OFFICES-AT OUR OFFICE NEAR TRINITY HOSPITAL, WE HAVE ALSO HAD SOME SUSPICIOUS HAPPENINGS INCLUDING A MAN LEADING AGAINST OUR BUILDING AT THE BACK DOOR-WHEN ASKED WHAT HE WAS DOING, HE STATED HE WAS WAITING ON A RIDE AND THEN BEGAN WALKING UP THE ROAD. IN THESE ECONOMIC TIMES PEOPLE ARE WORKING LATER TO GET THEIR JOBS DONE BUT AT WHAT PRICE.THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE SUMMERVILLE AREA AND PEOPLE NEED TO TAKE CAUTION.
