Woman beaten in burglary at her Grovetown home dies
A Columbia County woman beaten during a burglary died Thursday afternoon.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga..-- A Columbia County woman beaten during a burglary died this afternoon.
Deputies are now investigating the death of 41-year-old Laverne Katherine Parsons as a homicide.
Laverne, known as Kay, walked into a burglary in progress at her home on Hot Springs Drive in the Orchard Hill subdivision, where she was beaten.
At this time there are still no suspects.
