Winter Weather Delays and Cancellations for March 2, 2009
A winter weather storm is expected to cause delays or cancellations of events Sunday night and Monday morning.

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C.---A winter weather storm is expected to cause delays or cancellations of events Sunday night and Monday morning.
If your school is not on this list, that means they will either be open Monday or have not contacted News 12 with closing or delay information.

Here is the latest list:
- Richmond County schools will be delayed one hour.

- Columbia County schools will be closed Monday. Central Office employees should report to work at 10:00am, as long as the roads are safe.

- Edgefield United Methodist church cancels Sunday night's 7:00pm Lenten Service.

-Headstart -Richmond county location is delayed for 1 hour. Columbia, Lincoln, Warren, McDuffie county locations cancelled.

- Martinez Montessori, Georgia Pre-K and Elementary is cancelled. They will be opening at 10a.m. for child care provided the roads are safe to travel.

- Superintendent Joyce Williams says Wilkes County public schools are closed tomorrow for students and faculty.

- Heritage Academy delays opening for 1 hour.

- St Mary on the Hill delays opening for 1 hour.

- Augusta Prep has canceled school for tomorrow.

- The Sunshine House says both locations (Furys Ferry and North Belair Road) Georgia Pre-K is canceled.

- Cornerstone Christian Academy has canceled daycare for Monday. There are 2 locations in Columbia County off Old Evans Road as well as South Belair Road are both canceled.

- Both campuses of Hope Christian School are closed Monday for students and staff. The 2 locations are 4400 Wheeler Road and 1919 Watkins Street.

- Augusta Christian Schools in Martinez will be closed tomorrow.

- Open Door Preschool in Richmond County will be closed.

- Lincoln County schools are closed Monday.

- Jan Hughes with Appletree I on The Pass will be closed Monday.

- Dr. Ernest Stokes, Headmaster of Long Cane Academy in McCormick says they are closed Monday.

- New Life Christian Academy will start 2 hours late Monday morning at 10:30.

- Taliaferro County school superintendent Dr. Les Bivens called to say public schools are closed Monday.

- Evans Christian Academy is closed Monday.

- Wardlaw Academy in Johnston is closed Monday.

- Edgefield Public Schools are closed Monday.

- Edgefield County Government offices are closed Monday.

- McCormick County Government offices are closed Monday.

- McDuffie County Public Schools are closed Monday, according to the district's website.

- Saluda County Public School are closed Monday.

- Greene County Public Schools are closed Monday.

- Lake Oconee Academy is closed Monday.

- USC-Aiken's website says all classes scheduled before 11am are canceled Monday. All classes at 11am and later will go on as scheduled. Faculty and Staff should report to work at 10:30am.

- Warren County Public Schools are closed Monday.

- McCormick County Public Schools are closed Monday.

- Georgia Institute of Cosmetology is closed Monday.

- First Methodist Daycare in Thomson is closed Monday.

- Glascock County Public Schools are closed Monday.

- Immaculate Conception School in Augusta will be closed Monday.

- All campuses of Piedmont Technical College will be closed Monday.

- Augusta's C.H. Terrell Academy is closed Monday.

- Aiken Prep is closed Monday.

- Westminster School is closed Monday.

- Jefferson County Public Schools are on a 90 minute delay Monday.

- Aiken Tech is delayed until 11:00. Classes before 11:00am are cancelled. Classes after 11:00am go on as scheduled. Staff should report to work at 10:00am.

- Paine College delayed two hours Monday. Staff reports to work as scheduled.

- Learning Junction Preschool in Columbia County will be closed Monday.

- Wee Tots Learning Center in McDuffie County will be closed.

- Augusta State University is on a two hour delay Monday. First classes are at 10:00am

- Aiken County Public Schools are closed Monday. Twelve month employees are on a two hour delay, or when it is safe to drive. Yes, it was a long wait for all the News 12 commenters, but the decision has just been made. If you have the day off, enjoy it.

- Thomas Jefferson Academy in Jefferson County will be closed Monday.

- Little Olive Tree Christian daycare in Aiken is closed Monday.

- South Aiken Christian school closed Monday.

- Curtis Baptist school is closed Monday. Daycare will open at 8:00am and office workers need to report by 11:00am.

- John Deere plant in Grovetown is on a two hour delay. Production will begin at 9:00 am.

- Georgia Military College will open at 10:00am. All classes before 10:00am are canceled.

- Lloyd Kennedy Charter School will be closed Monday.

- Aiken Performing Arts Academy will be closed Monday.

- Sarah's Child Care in North Augusta is closed Monday.

- Fairview ECC Daycare will open at 9:00 am Monday. The Kindergarden class will be closed for the day.

- First Baptist Church (North Augusta) preschool and kindergarten are closed Monday.

- Best Friends daycare in North Augusta is closed Monday.

- Victory Christen Schools in North Augusta is closed Monday.

- Our Lady of Peace School is closed Monday.

- Aldersgate Preschool in Augusta is closed tomorrow.

-Sandersville Technical College- Louisville, Sparta,and Hancock sites are closed. Warren and Glascock Adult Education sites closed.
