A Columbia County sex offender has been arrested for lying about where he was moving.
Capt. Steve Morris says William Allen Cummings told officers he was moving out of Columbia County to Wrens.
But when officers checked, they found out he instead moved within the county and never registered at the new address.
Cummings is charged with a felony and is still in jail tonight.
He was convicted of child molestation in 1994.
