AUGUSTA, GA - As the temperatures fall, the number of people needing help staying warm goes up. That's why the Uptown and Downtown V.A. Hospitals in Augusta are asking you to look in your closet. They want to know if you have any coats, sweater, jackets, or hunting gear that you can donate. In the past week, they've seen an increase of veterans coming into both locations, asking for warm clothes.
If you have anything to donate, you can drop it off at either hospital. You can also call (706) 823-1717.
