AIKEN CTY, S.C. --- The Aiken County Council is ready to tackle some old ideas tonight in this new year. One of those ideas is looking at the right-of-way at a salvage yard.
They say it's a safety issue to have a lot of trucks lined along the right of way at the Salvage Yard on Highway 1 near the Aiken bypass. The Council first looked at putting a fence around the yard, but one councilman says that was thought to be a rash decision.
Tonight, they expect to talk about ways to enforce the right-of-way where the trucks are.
