Aiken checking for DUI's

AIKEN, S.C.---Because New Year's Eve can be such a dangerous time on the roads, Aiken is increasing patrols to keep drivers safe.
The Aiken Department of Public Safety is holding many checkpoints and increasing DUI Patrols to stop drunk drivers.
In addition to, checkpoints drivers can expect additional officers assigned to stopping impaired drivers on the roadways throughout Aiken.
It's part of the South Carolina Department of Public Safety's "Sober or Slammer" campaign, which has trying to prevent DUI's throughout the holiday season.
Patrols have been placed in multiple locations throughout Aiken, including Whiskey Road, US-1 (Richland Avenue), SC-118, SC-302 (Pinelog Road), and other roads throughout Aiken.
